A transparent starting point for your scrap car
The calculator starts with an average curb weight for the selected vehicle type and a C$0.10-per-pound metal benchmark. It then adds a provisional allowance for the catalytic converter and wheels, and subtracts adjustments for missing parts, loading difficulty and transport from Mississauga.
Vehicle makes and models help describe your car, but the calculation does not pretend to know the exact weight or converter value of every trim. That is why the result is shown as a range and the final offer requires a manual review.
